The NCGE 2014 National Conference on Geography Education at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis TN. Keynote speaker was Brian Unger of the History Channels "How the States got their Shapes".
NCGE is dedicated to expanding and improving geography education in U.S. schools and contributing to the development of highly qualified geography teachers. Approximately 400 educators (K-12 & University) and geography professionals from around the world attended the 2014 National Conference on Geography Education. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, research, resources, and best practices in geography education. This conference marked the 99th annual meeting of the National Council for Geographic Education.
In addition to attending some of the numerous talks at the conference, I spent time assisting in the ESRI web mapping lab hands-on sessions.
